Tanzania ECD Network Celebrates 25 Years and Holds Annual General Meeting – November 28, 2025. The meeting was attended by members, government leaders, and other NGO stakeholders. It was chaired by TECDEN Board Chairperson, Ms. Elizabeth Maginga, who welcomed members from all 26 regions of mainland Tanzania.

During the meeting, the Executive Director, Ms. Mwajuma Kibwana, highlighted TECDEN’s contributions, including strengthening the network nationally, regionally, and internationally, and serving as a hub for learning on coordination and advocacy.

She also emphasized collaboration with the government in preparing, reviewing, and implementing ECCD-related policies, plans, guidelines, and strategies. This includes participation in drafting the National Vision 2050, preparation of guidelines for Early Childhood Education and Daycare Centers, support to health and other sectors, and implementation of the ECCD Joint Program.

In addition, TECDEN has expanded its membership nationwide and improved coordination among diverse ECCD stakeholders at national, regional, and local government levels.

For 25 years, TECDEN has remained a vital platform for coordination, advocacy, and capacity building for institutions and communities working in the ECCD sector. The network believes that collaboration among all stakeholders will continue to advance the wellbeing and future of Tanzanian children.
